For those members who may not be aware of what an Afterglow is, I’ll offer this quick definition - it is simply a chance for Chapter members and the public to enjoy a few more minutes surrounded by great Barbershop Chords provided by several local area quartets and the guest quartet.  The atmosphere is relaxed and there are drinks, snacks and a full sandwich bar catered by Ramblers available to all attendees.  The Afterglow on April 26 will be located at the American Legion Club at 114 McCall Road in Manhattan and will begin at approximately 10:00 p.m.

There are two options available for all attendees - a $5.00 ticket which allows admission to the event and includes a snack of popcorn accompanied by coffee, tea or water.  The other option is a $16.00 ticket which includes admission and access to the full sandwich bar.  The sandwich bar includes a selection of meats, salad and additional food selections.

For those wishing a soft drink or something stronger, a cash bar will also be available.

Chapter members can pick up tickets for themselves or to sell to their friends from Bill Bunyan on Thursday night.  Tickets will also be available at the door.

Quartet members performing on the Afterglow need not purchase the $5.00 admission ticket but their guests, (including wives - significant others) will need to purchase the $5.00 admission ticket alone or if using the sandwich bar, the $16.00 ticket.

Since the Afterglow is a small fundraising project for the Chapter which also allows members and guests a chance to enjoy great quartet presentations, I encourage all members to come join us at the American Legion Club to conclude a great day of Barbershop Harmony.  Please remember to sign the attendance sheet on Thursday evening in order that we can have a rough count of food needs.

Hope to see you all there.  If you have questions regarding any information in this article, please call, email or see me Thursday night for an answer.♪

 Plans for the afterglow

By Bill Hanson

Finally some warm weather, and here I am putting together the InCider.  Maybe I will finish in time to get outside.

We ladies have been busy on ladies night, the last few times.  Last month we helped Telva with the band uniforms for the students that are helping in the show.  And then this last month we stuffed over 2000 plastic Easter eggs with a note and a piece of candy.  These will be handed out to the people attending the show this year.  They are advertising next years show, which will be Easter week-end.

Some of us have been helping with the costumes and we will also help with the make up just before the show.  We are glad to be of service to our singing husbands.  And of course we enjoy hearing you sing.

The newsletter is very short time because of lack of articles.  Hint Hint.
