Would you like to know your fellow Little Apple Chorus members better? That is the project that Chapter President Harvey Kiser asked me to undertake. Harvey's  thinking was that as we have grown in numbers we really don't have the opportunity to get to know each other real well. For most of us we meet on Thursday night sing together and leave for our homes  scattered all over Manhattan, St George, Wamego, Junction City, Clay Center, etc, etc. Some of us see other members at church, or golfing, or ballgames, but still really don't get the chance to know much about our fellow members.

I think that Harvey got an idea from one of the COTS public relations classes that if we would assemble information sheets on each member we could use these to know more about our membership. I am sure that with the numbers that we have we are not using all of our strengths to achieve the goals of this chapter.

Chapter retreat will be in the next few days following when most will see this newsletter. We will have information sheets available at retreat to start the process of assembling a compilation of member information. Bart Bartholomew is working to make this information sheet available online at the chapter website and we would like as many as possible to fill it out online. We plan on adding your picture to each sheet and having these on a MEMBERS ONLY page on the web.

While all the details are being worked out we will be starting to assemble the information for those who are not able to do this online. This information is only the first step in this process. It will take time to finish. Any questions as we go forward will have to be addressed.  This will only be as useful as the members give the information that you want your fellow members to have about you. What do you think? Any comments or questions should be to your favorite board member or to me.♪

I told you there would be a big change in the InCider this time. Did you notice it yet?  There is a new name plate.  Thanks to Steve Jackson, Editor of PROBEmoter and a L&R judge in the bulletin contest for giving me the idea.  He created a sample for me to work with and invited me to “tweak” it.  I hope you like it.  I think it has a more modern  and clean look

If you have been missing articles on Meet the Member, they have failed to arrive.  I can’t put them in if I don’t have them.

There has been a lot of activity this week and last getting ready for Singing Valentines.  There are pictures elsewhere in this issue.  I hope you all enjoyed working with the Singing Valentines.

The ladies met a week early last week to put the candy kisses together and we also were able to talk with a lot of you about your costumes for the show. If you have any questions, ask the lady in charge of your section.

Also we are trying hard to print a hard copy for those of you who requested one.  Please notice we put a label with your  name on your copy.  Please take that copy.  If you don’t we do not know that you have received yours and we mail it.  It will save the chapter money if we don’t have to mail it to you.

A kindergartner pupil told his teacher he has found a cat, but it was dead. the teacher asked  “How did you know it was dead”. “Because I pissed in its ear and it didn't move, answered the child innocently.  "You did WHAT?" the teacher exclaimed in surprise.  "You know," explained the boy, " I leaned over and went 'Pisst! In it’s ear' and it didn't move."
