Have you heard the many compliments about our show on April 26th and that it was one of the best we have ever performed if not the best?  It was quite a journey.  We journeyed together as we prepared  for our performances and prepared and carried out many administrative tasks.

Thanks to three key member leaders who had significant roles on our trip -- Ken Lang in teaching, leading and directing us; Don Thomson in producing the show; and Jim Lindquist in chairing the administration of the show.

Thanks to our ladies who made significant contributions to a successful day.  Thanks for your efforts in organizing the props and managing the backstage operations; coordinating and helping with the costumes for the show; applying makeup for both the afternoon and evening shows; serving on the costume committee; consulting with members about their costumes; placing all the announcements about next years show in the plastic Easter eggs; selling tickets at the afterglow; and cheering for us during the show.  Thanks ever so much for all you do.

Thanks to the members who took part in learning their music and choreography; sold corporate and patron ads; sold tickets; printed and managed the ticket vouchers; contacted the service organizations in our communities about photos of their organizational activities, for a write-up about each, and for ticket sales;  managed the show tickets; organized the publicity and advertisement; designed and arranged for the printing of the handouts, flyers, and posters; organized and published the show program booklet; organized and recorded the corporate and patron ads; hosted the headliner quartet Reveille; organized and conducted the afterglow; worked with the McCain ticket and house managers; set up and managed the recording of our learning video of the show; constructed the stage sets; produced the slide show; served on the Harmony Award committee; managed the property; arranged to order the new vests; served on the creative committee; served as the Master of Ceremonies of the show; prepared and mailed out the flyers and mailed out tickets; prepared the web page for ticket sales; helped in moving the risers and stage sets; collected the door prize registrations for both shows; prepared the comments about the songs printed in the show program; contacted and organized the operation with our special guests -B.A.M., the Bergman Awesome Musicians and Linda Uthoff; and performed in the chapter quartets.  Have I mentioned all of the areas in which members contributed?

The next part of our journey together is to welcome guests at our Open House/Guest Night this week, to prepare for performing inspirational music three summer Sundays for churches in our communities in June and July, to perform with the Manhattan Municipal Band in June and who knows what else the summer may bring.

Our future journey also finds us enjoying quartetting, singing Barberpole cat songs, and Woodshedding to perfect our singing and ringing chords.  Each of these enjoyable activities will help us improve our performances for our public.  See you on the way on Thursday evenings and at our performances.♪

Many thanks for all the teamwork
