Our own InCider newsletter editor, Karen Nanninga, gained an award presented by PROBE (Public Relations Officers and Bulletin Editors) at the Barbershop Harmony Society International Convention and Contest at Nashville, Tennessee this past August, 2008. She was second place in the web division, scoring a few points under the winner. Karen's first InCider appeared in August 2005 She said: "There's so much improvement since then." She said that she really enjoys editing the newsletter, "tweaking and making things fit," and we certainly enjoy |

At a recent church service that Harry Harmony was attending the minister was completing a temperance sermon. With great emphasis he said, "If I had all the beer in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the river." With even greater emphasis he said, "And if I had All the wine in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the river." And then finally, shaking his fist in the air, he Said, "And if I had all the whiskey in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the river." Sermon complete, he sat down. The song leader stood very cautiously and announced with a smile, nearly laughing, "For our closing song, Let us sing Hymn #365, "Shall We Gather at the River." OOPS! ♪ |

I was excited about getting to go to Leadership Academy for an editors’ class and have just been informed that there are not enough other editors interested and the class is cancelled. Well I guess I have to make other plans for this week end. Everyone worked so hard on guest night and we had one lone guest. But he was very welcome. All helping did a very nice job and it was very well put together. Hope you all have a good Thanksgiving. Oh my before we know it Christmas will be upon us. After a conversation with Harvey, the InCider will be issued December 22, so we can include the Christmas pictures. But I still need your other articles by the 11th |
