I think the down turn in the economy had an impact on our quartet in 2008, too.  From January of 2008 through the first week of January 2009, the Charades performed 11 times.

We started the year by singing at the Manhattan Bridal Fair on the K-State campus and then delivered the earliest Singing Valentine we have ever had to do.  This Valentine was delivered on January 24, at Black Jack Hills.
The rest of 2008 found us: delivering MANY Valentines on Feb. 14, and singing at an 85
th birthday party, Arts in the Park in Council Grove, a 90th birthday celebration at The Barn, First Christian Church Ladies Salad Supper, a reunion for WWII veterans in Junction City, and caroling in Westmoreland.

We started off 2009 with a show for a church dinner group that J. Lester Hooper belongs to.  We all look forward to another year filled with laughter, song, and Tom’s ratings of shows based on the food we get to eat.
