On June 6 the Little Apple Chorus performed for local veterans at a

special D-Day program at the K-State Student Union.

The Manhattan Little Apple Chorus sang

the service songs for the five branches of the military as well as other patriotic songs  

   Manhattan Music Machine performed "Danny Boy" while the audience was riveted to the harmony with tearful eyes.   MMM also sang the introduction to the final number, "God Bless America", which brought the audience to their feet.

 At the Chapter's Monday Board meeting, the officers and board members who participated in the performance said that the chorus's songs were well received.  The thought was expressed that the chorus sang and performed well.  Also, it was noted that the audience was moved by the performance
